Going with the Flow of Poured Watercolor
Discover the excitement and joy of poured watercolors. Leslie Redhead will show how to produce luminous works by painting and layering with flowing pigments. This is done with thoughtful planning and design that works well with the freedom of poured paint.
Leslie Redhead is an artist, teacher, illustrator, and author whose watercolor paintings have earned international awards and recognition. In addition to being a signature member of the Northwest Watercolor Society (NWWS), the Canadian Society for Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC) and the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), Leslie holds a Masters of Education in Art Education. Leslie is the author of Watercolor 365 from North Light Books and the illustrator of the children’s book, Island in the Salish Sea from Orca Book Publishers.
The artist currently divides her time between Victoria, BC and Idaho, giving painting instruction at the University of Victoria and in workshops throughout Canada, the U.S., and Spain.
Inspiration for Leslie’s work come from everyday moments and adventures as she visually journals the people and landscape that surrounds her. She enjoys encouraging others to find the artist within and continues to seek the creative in all things.
